SANGKURIANG

Many years later, Sangkuriang found a house in the woods inhabited by a beautiful woman. The woman, Dayang Sumbi, recognized him as Sangkuriang. He felt in love with her without even knowing she was her mother. He forced her to marry him. Dayang Sumbi couldn't take it because she was her mother and son. She made unreasonable demands on him to marry him. He must build a large ship overnight and have it ready by dawn. Sangkurian agreed to this and built it with the help of spirits.

When the work was almost done, Dayang Sumbi asked nearby women to pound the grain as a false sign that dawn was approaching. The ghosts escaped and Sangkuriang was unable to complete the boat. He got so angry that he overturned the ship and turned it into a mountain called Tangkuban Perahu.

she was quilting. Suddenly her comforter felt out of her house. She prayed to God: "If a man picks up my blanket, he will be my husband. If she is a woman, she will be my sister." The man then picks it up. She kept her word and she married the dog and named it Tuman. She gave birth to a baby and named him Sankuriang, but never told her who the father was.

One day Sangkuriang was hunting in the forest with Tuman, but he found nothing. He blamed Tuman for his failure and murdered him. When Dayang Sumbi found out, he hit Sangkuriang on the head with a big spoon and told him to leave.
